Wildcard on Tour?

There have been rumors for quite some time of the possibility of having a wildcard pick this season (eliminated season 7 contestant brought back into the game). Now there's a rumor from a very reliable source that the wildcard will actually be for the tour instead of the show, which is actually a great idea. Joesplace, the poster who spoiled the top 50 before the first episode even aired, has posted about this on idolforums.com.

Apparently there will be 5 wildcard contestants and America will vote to see which one will be picked. Logically, the five contestants should be those who made it closest to the top 10 (tour group): Amanda Overmyer, David Hernandez, Danny Noriega, Asia'h Epperson and either Kady Malloy or Luke Menard. American Idol posted a similar poll on its official site recently, which further adds credibility to the claim. Voting and results for the wildcard pick should happen around the time of Idol Gives Back, April 9th.
